The campaign – Kids Closer to Nature – aims to encourage children of all backgrounds and from all over the UK to experience the great outdoors. National Schools Partnership has worked with the Arla team and Tonic Life Communications, to encourage children to get out and about, learning about wildlife and getting their hands dirty. The overall aim of the programme has been to reinforce Arla’s links with nature, particularly with the parent audience.
The judges were clearly impressed: ‘This campaign was full of original ideas and it was felt to be very successful with its target audience of more than 1,000 teachers who accessed the educational resources. All those surveyed believed that the material had helped to get the children engaging more with nature and the outdoors.’
