We are really excited about the launch of our School of Fish campaign for Marks & Spencer, which has gone live this week. It is an educational programme for children between the age of 7 and 11 and their families, and will inspire pupils to learn about fish, track their journey from the sea to their plate, learn how to help protect fish, whilst discovering new, healthy, tasty fish species.
Take a look at www.school-of-fish.co.uk for:
• Fish Camp films of schoolchildren having adventures along the coast with ex-Blue Peter’s Andy Akinwolere and marine biologist The Blowfish
• Blowfish’s Blog where teachers, children and parents can have their say on the fishy issues of the day
• ‘Codcasts’ where our junior journalist quiz experts on all things fishy
• a ‘Fishipedia’ – A-Z fish fact cards, Top 10 maps (from the speediest to the deadliest) and ‘Fishy Topics’ plus amazing videos
and much more.
Plus we will share more details soon on the National Big Fish Debate, where schools can win a place at a national debate in 2012, to have the opportunity to influence M&S’s fish priorities over the coming years.
In the meantime, here is a behind-the-scenes look at Andy Akinwolere and his seafaring adventurers during the Fish Camp filming, on their mission to learn about our coasts, beaches and sealife:
