National Schools Partnership wins Hollis Sponsorship Award with Marks & Spencer

Posted on Wednesday, March 27th, 2013

We are celebrating today after winning the prestigious Education & Learning Sponsorship category at the 19th annual Hollis Sponsorship Awards. The winning programme – Marks & Spencer School of Fish – beat tough competition from BP and Aegon to scoop the award which recognises excellence in campaigns that achieve educational objectives.

School of Fish is a highly interactive learning programme which aims to inspire and engage children with the exciting subject of marine life. It encourages pupils to understand the importance of protecting marine environments and realise that they have a duty to act responsibly.

As a result of School of Fish activity to date 93% of surveyed children said they had gained knowledge. 95% of them were more enthusiastic about the protection of sea life and 87% of them were more enthusiastic about keeping beaches clean. The programme received great feedback from teachers, families and consumers with one teacher commenting “School of Fish is a fantastic exciting resource that brings science alive for children.”

The Hollis Sponsorship Award is a great testament to the success of the programme, and to the hard work and enthusiasm of the School of Fish team. Well done all!
